For those of you that have run this race in the past, we will be doing all we can to preserve the look and feel of this iconic event on the Island. Event will start and end at the same locations and follow the historic parade route that is closed to traffic which makes for an optimal running experience. Race details below:

About the R.A.C.E.

The R.A.C.E. is a five kilometer (3.1 mile) run and walk through Alameda starting at 9:45AM just before the 4th of July Parade. It benefits the Midway Shelter for Women and Children.

The course starts at 1420 Park Street in front of Lauren’s Closet and follows the Alameda parade route ending at Haight and Webster.

Awards: Race Prizes
Medals for the top 3 men and top 3 women in the following brackets: 12 and under, 13-18,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-69, 70+.
